Just as important is a staff that has the experience and skills to apply their knowledge of the intended end-use, and choose the right gear for the job.

In short: we do the things we sell the gear for. It's something we place a very high premium on at Feathered Friends because there is simply no substitute for it.

Eddie Espinosa - Eddie has spent his last 13 years climbing, skiing and mountaineering in much of the western United States. He spent a few years using his degree in Exercise Physiology to run a fitness facility and personal train, but went back to climbing instruction and guiding before starting at Feathered Friends.

Justin Robinson - started climbing in the Southeast at 8, guided in the mountains for 14 years, trained ski and snowboard instructors for ten seasons, and biked unsupported across the US in 30 days. Justin has climbed throughout the US , Canada , Alaska , Central and South America, Europe and Asia . He’s an American Alpine Club Grant Recipient with an affinity for mixed alpine terrain at altitude, a healthy respect for dry humor and 6 years of education in his15 year ongoing quest for a BS. He likes walks in the alpenglow and holding hands.
