Flicker 20 UL Quilt Sleeping Bag

We created the Flicker to achieve maximum comfort and versatility without compromising on weight. Unzipped, it functions as a large quilt on warmer nights and is wide enough to cover two adults in a pinch. The footbox can be cinched tight and partially zipped for greater efficiency on cooler nights. At the bottom end of the temperature rating, the Flicker functions as a full center-zip mummy sleeping bag. With 950+ fill power down, the 20ºF Flicker is ideally suited for those chilly summer nights in the alpine or on a thru-hike. With Pertex® Endurance® fabric, the bag becomes even lighter and is a favorite of thru-hikers.

UL: Ultralight. Pertex® Endurance® 10 denier water-resistant/breathable fabric.

When choosing a size for the Flicker, keep in mind that the overall length as a quilt is 78” for Regular, and 84" as a Long, but when converted to a center-zip sleeping bag with the footbox cinched, you lose approximately 6” of usable length.

While the regular length is designed to fit persons up to 6 foot, if you’re at the top end of the height recommendation and plan on using this primarily as a center zip bag you should consider the next length up.

My favorite gear item on the pctReview by Jimmy
I also used this bag for the entire 2018 PCT and this thing was just perfect, light, warm, durable, comfortable. I really can't say enough good things about this bag. Also after my hike I stopped by the shop in Seattle and they got the bag cleaned up for me and are just a good company to do business with. I'm glad I spent the extra few bucks on this bag, cuz seeing people on trail with some other bags I was considering and they were not nearly as happy as me.

And also ran into people that have had Feathered Friends bags for years and were still super happy with their purchase. (Posted on 11/28/2018)
Incredible!Review by Jack
I had this sleeping bag for the entire PCT thru-hike in 2018.
Super light
Super warm (many nights around 25 degrees and it was plenty warm with clothes on)
Durable - no tears, it's still clean, but thats probably because I slept with a silk liner which also added 1-4 degrees of warmth. (Posted on 11/20/2018)
Great all aroundReview by Wyatt
I have used this bag on two outings. Once on the inspiration glacier in the north cascades in early May in a bivy sack (dropped into the low teens), the other high up in the Olympic mountains sleeping under the stars. Both times I was exposed to heavy condensation and the outside of the bag was soaked. I remained relatively dry besides the sweat from this bag being extremely warm for its weight (I added 3 extra oz. of down). It takes a little getting use to the lack of a hood, and if you toss and turn it can get drafty around the shoulders because the drawstring is finicky and likes to work loose. I have yet to use it as a quilt but seems like it would work well in that application. I'm 6'1 and the long is perfect and still comes in ~2 lbs. Packs down small and tight and disappears in the bottom of my pack. Worth it if it's what you're looking for, I wouldn't take it back even if I could. (Posted on 7/25/2017)
Also great in hutsReview by hcrunyon
I chose this bag for lightness and versatility. On a ski tour last spring it was a fantastically cozy and packable thing for use in huts. Great to have the quilt option when the main goal was simply comfort in a building with some heat--yet in an unplanned bivouac you'd have a full low-temp sleeping bag. Unzipped, it makes a really generous solo quilt that makes you feel like you're in a high-zoot hotel. (Posted on 11/22/2016)
BEST bag PERIOD!!Review by Bill
I've used this bag for the last 2 seasons backpacking the JMT, up Whitney, to the Cascades, around the Olympics, the Hoe Rain Forrest, and local over night backpacking trips,, from warm summer nights to 20 degree freezing cold evenings at Guitar lake and this bag has always performed above and beyond! Well worth the money!Review by Zakery
I've been reviewing bags and quilts for months knowing that I'd be making a big purchase for a good 3 season bag. This bag is amazing, and so versatile! I love how it can be un-zipped to turn into a quilt for 2, or a quilt either over me or under my hammock (yes it comes with small loops to attach to a hammock! I am 6'6" and the long version is still tall enough with the foot box sinched up for it to cover my head if I want. My sleeping bag went from taking up over 1/3 of my 55L pack to now taking up under a 1/4 of my 40L HMG Windrider. As a product designer I can honestly say they have thought of every detail with the flicker ul 20, thanks for the amazing product! (Posted on 5/16/2016)
Extremely versatile! Review by Zach
I love this bag!! Absolutely love the versatility. A nice summer quilt, extra layer on a chilly evening around camp, zip it up and pull the drawcords tight and those cold nights aren't a worry. Can't ask for more out of a piece of gear! (Posted on 6/30/2015)
I've been searching for this FOREVERReview by Russ
This is THE bag that I've been trying to find for SO long. Perfect for my fast and light alpine climbs where you share a bag with your buddy. Not only that, I use this bag for EVERYTHING. Extra insulation for the lady, I can drap part of it over her. A comfortable quilt in the summer, or for travel, and in a snow cave shiver fest over my parka, sitting on my rope. This is the perfect sleeping bag, the versatility is amazing. (Posted on 11/11/2014)
