- really nice, warm, well madeReview by Dr. Eric
- I tend to run cold. A am 6'0, 225 lbs and the XXL fits perfectly. It is definitely puffy but this is from the very generous fill weight of high powered down. The neck size and arm tubes fit snugly so as to hold in the heat. It is very warm and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I spent a long time researching down jackets and the quality and workmanship are remarkable. Kudos to Feathered Friends for putting out such great products that deserve all of the hype and great reviews. (Posted on 12/23/2017)
- Nice Warm VestReview by ival
- This is a really nice vest. I got it to compliment my EOS jacket (see review). I wear this often around the Seattle area over a hoodie. It is excellent over the EOS jacket when it is cold (I got the vest a size bigger for that purpose). I can't say for sure, but I seem to remember comfortably sleeping in this vest while camping. I have been surprised how warm it really is; it keeps your body core toasty. And it's versatile around here most of the year. You can't lose with this lovely vest. Combined with the EOS jacket, you don't miss the absent hood, just waterproofing. For colder weather, I recommend the Volant - an outstanding and warm jacket (and more or less waterproof with a nice hood). Keep in mind I'm usually in dismal, rainy weather six months of the year, and I don't climb mountains, so I'm talking weather mid-thirties to just below thirty or so usually; I'll likely never test the limits of these fine products, but I've got some great Feathered Friends stuff for any occasion I'll likely encounter in these parts. - Expensive but it will last a lifetimeReview by Sawtooth Paul
- Just got back from the Sawtooths and left my 15 year old Helios vest on a log. Like loosing a family member. Extraordinarily good product-will last a lifetime. Have another coming in the mail. (Posted on 6/29/2017)
