Minimalism; a style or technique that is characterized by extreme sparseness and simplicity. The Vireo was designed with a single purpose in mind; fast and light alpine climbs where every gram counts. With no hood, no zipper and a variable fill (the lower half is rated at 25, the upper half 45) the Vireo shaves every last ounce. Designed to primarily be used with our down jackets, the Vireo has an under-filled upper half that draws around the shoulders to maximize efficiency and trap more of the core heat unlike traditional “half-bags”. This compact, ultralight system is ideal for cyclists or emergency use and remains a staple for the dedicated alpinists that helped us develop this bag.

The ultralight Vireo sleeping bag system makes use of the gear you are already carrying, saving precious ounces for quick climbs or minimalist trips.

No zipper to conserve weight and bulk

Drawcord on open end to cinch off apertures

Designed to be worn with a down jacket for upper-body warmth
