Penguin Nano 20 Sleeping Bag

The inspiration for the Penguin series came from the desire to create a two person sleep system that was light and compact enough for extended backpacking trips yet roomy enough to keep both partners comfortable throughout the night. The Penguin 20 is our most popular variation and represents an exceptional balance of warmth and comfort for two while remaining light and compact enough for solo backcountry use. Two draft tubes line the zipper to prevent loss of heat when used alone or with a Groundsheet. Optional hoods are available for cold weather comfort; these can be attached to our Groundsheet or zipped onto the sleeping bag when used by one sleeper.

Nano: Schoeller® NanoSphere® 20 denier water-resistant/ breathable fabric.

A Friend Indeed!Review by CanuckJay
I've had my Feathered Friend Penguin now for over 10 years and it still looks the same as when I bought it. I've been on numerous car camping and backpacking trip and it's my sleeping bag of choice - the only time I leave it home is when I do winter camping, it's just a bit roomy so cold air gets trapped easily. The features I love about this extraordinary bag is the amount of loft when unpacked and how easily it compresses when stowed. The attention to detail is sick - tight stitching, no frays at all, the zipper system is quiet and hardly ever snags, the material is wonderful and oh so comfy! Best of all being a side sleeper this bag gives you plenty of room to move around, I'm 5'9 and 170 lbs and it fits me perfect. I sleep in a liner so I've maybe cleaned the bag maybe twice - once in a while I'll drop in the dryer with a dryel at low temp - then air dry and it smells clean and fresh! (Posted on 4/7/2016)
Very Comfortable Sleeping BagReview by Noah
This sleeping bag is the most comfortable that I have ever used. I have used mine on a backpacking trip along the Colorado trail. Had a few nights where it got bellow freezing. Stayed very warm. The extra weight is worth the extra comfort. Much better than a mummy bag. (Posted on 11/18/2014)
