Penguin 40 YF Sleeping Bag

The Penguin 40 is the lightest of our semi-rectangular bags for one or two person use. Ideal for warm weather adventures, the Penguin 40 performs equally well as a roomy bag for one or a two person system when coupled with the Penguin Groundsheet. Unzip the bag and open it flat for a convenient travel quilt or attach an optional hood and you’re ready for a solo excursion. Cross-country cyclists have long favored the Penguin 40 dual sleep system for its flexibility across a range of temperatures and as a means to conserve weight and volume while offering a comfortable respite for two at the end of a long day.

YF: YFuse. Pertex Quantum® 20 denier mini-ripstop fabric treated with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish.

Great Sleeping Bag, warm for me below 40*F fabric is very niceReview by Fish
I took this bag out for the first time this weekend in the Midwest (Iowa) lows over night were 34*F and 37*F respectively. I also have a Swift Nano 20* but wanted to try the new fabric and test the rating. I generally sleep a little warmer but I also moved 3/4 of the down to the top to help aid in keeping me warm. All in all I was very comfortable the first night and the second even had to open the zipper up a bit to cool off. Fabric feels great to touch but time will tell on durability. I do like the old Nano fabric and my swift bag is showing no signs of wear and I suspect this will do great. I think the all the zipper locations on the bag are a little odd but I do know that you can use it left or right zip and move the hood to whichever side you choose. As always love to FF zippers and the no snag feature. Great bag! I can't figure out how to upload my picture of the bag in action but maybe someone can contact me and do that. Great bag FF!
