The essentials in good package
This parka offers the essential in a good package: plety of warmth, few features and good balance between durability and weight for the fabrics.
Ecuador use
This certainly kept me warm on the summits of Ecuador. I had some difficulty with getting the zipper to come up which was frustrating.
Initial
This jacket has everything needed from Waste to hood. Warmth, pockets, double zipper, lightweight. The only discrepancy I have is the hood tethering. Without a hat or anything bulky already on my head the visor area falls on my eyebrows at times and it bothers me. There is a sinch but I can’t get it to stay back where I would like it. Little different then my current coat but not a deal breaker due to the fact I didn’t buy it for style or comfort, I bought it to stay warm in the mountains and it will do just that hands down.
Khumbu down parka
Love it perfect exactly what I was looking for
An incredibly warm parka!
I used it in Lapland, Finland at -25°C and I was perfectly fine. I felt that it could have been much colder and I would still have been warm. The parka is bulky but very light and extremely comfortable. It is definitely the ideal parka for extreme weather! I took the size M. I am 1.80 meters tall and weigh 65 kilograms. I wore a technical base layer, with a Shetland wool sweater as my second layer. On top of that, I had a Patagonia vest and an Odlo windproof sleeveless jacket, all underneath the parka.
