This slope meter from Backcountry Access is designed with an inclinometer and built-in compass to measure slope angles and aspects as an aid in backcountry avalanche hazard assessment. A metal ball inside a liquid-filled tube measures slope angles from 0° to 60° when placed perpendicular to the snow. The sharp edge can also be used as a scraper to remove snow build-up on your climbing skins.
