Ultra worthy
I used this jacket for the Montane Yukon Arctic Ultra. I was outside in the harsh Yukon for over 80 hours. This jacket is bomb proof. It was the reason I would get out of my sleeping system. It helped rewarm after scary cold temps would ensue during short breaks. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to stay warm in the worlds harshest environments. One difficult thing is the main zipper. It seemed in -30 degrees to -40 degrees F the zipper was difficult to do. That might be the case for any jacket in that temp. In. Survival situation it’s pretty paramount that the jacket zips up quick and easy. It does take work to zip it up but I do know the zipper is not going to break. Overall this jacket is amazing.
Warm Parka
It's pretty great. This is my second Rock & Ice Parka.
Best parka currently made in USA
It is our second Rock and ice Parka. Mine I reviewed previously. I will be adding a fur ruff on this one for my wife. She bought a small and she is 5’3” and 130 lbs it fits her slightly large. Excellent company, great customer service, very knowledgeable and helpful on the phone. We use our parkas extensively here in Alaska. We live off grid and are doing things in the woods a lot. Very pleased with the Feathered Friends Rock And Ice.
Great parka
I haven’t had an opportunity yet to wear the Rock and Ice outside yet (summer), but it’s a magnificent expedition parka. Quality-built to the nines, and warm beyond belief. The fit is Expedition, meaning it’s a bit large in the chest. The arms and length are fine. I can’t wait to wear this yellow beauty in weather it was designed for. The fabric feels waterproof, which compounds the parka’s utility. I bought Large, and I’m 6’3”, 185.
So warm!
And comfortable.
