This new Proton Hybrid Hoody from Arc'teryx is in a class of it's own. Perfect for all kinds of backcountry travel involving changing activity levels and variable weather conditions. Coreloft™ Compact insulation in the lower portion for warmth is combined with GORE-TEX® INFINIUM™ in the upper yoke and hood for increased protection from foul weather. The design balances warmth, breathability, airflow, and protection from the wind as well as light snow and sleet. This can be worn as either your outermost layer for active use, or as a warm midlayer underneath a completely weatherproof stormshell jacket. Synthetic Coreloft™ insulation still retains the majority of its insulation value when wet.
