  1. Great Bag!

    by Ernie S. on Feb 19, 2014

I bought this bag for a winter camping/snowshoeing/ice fishing trip in the BWCA in February. Overnight low temps ranged from 0 to -25F and this bag handled everything but the lowest temperatures comfortably. I wore only a base layer on top and bottom, socks and down booties and used a Therm-a-Rest XTherm pad. When it was -25, I woke up at about 4am slightly chilly, threw on a pair of down pants and a light down jacket and went back to sleep. The huge neck baffle seals your heat in and the cold out and the hood cinches snugly around your head. I like how Feathered Friends uses snaps instead of velcro for the neck baffle and zipper closures...much stronger and more comfortable. This was my first Feathered Friends piece of gear.....and after how it performed, it definitely won't be my last! If you're debating whether to buy this bag because the lack of reviews or information about it, don't. Take the plunge, you won't be disappointed!
