Hands down the most popular bag we've ever made, and for good reason. Compared to other mummy bags in the market, the Swallow is the ideal combination of light-weight warmth with room to sleep thanks to a more relaxed cut (more spacious than the Hummingbird, narrower than the Swift). The Swallow is the definition of an ideal all-around backcountry sleeper that can satisfy a wide range of three-season conditions.

Available in 20 Degree and 30 Degree options.

UL: Ultralight. Pertex® Endurance® 10 denier water-resistant/breathable fabric.

Fantastic sleeping bag!

I recently decided to upgrade to a new sleeping bag before a bucket list trip to Patagonia. I had read great reviews about Feathered Friends over the years, so I decided to go with the 30-degree Swallow. I could not be happier with this purchase! It’s super high quality, and provides outstanding warmth for the weight. In my opinion the 30-degree rating is very conservative compared to bags I’ve had in the past with similar temperature ratings. Most of my backpacking and camping trips are in summer, but I occasionally backpack in colder weather at higher elevations. This is an excellent 3-season bag will be able to meet all my needs outside of the occasional winter camping trip. Can’t recommend it enough!

Warm So Far

I’ve only used it so far when the temperature was 40°and slept in a long sleeve shirt and I was actually too warm and had to unzip the bag. Plenty of room to sleep on my side. Looking forward to testing in colder temperatures. Packs really small and is very light. Will post another review later this Winter

Warm and comfy, but a few issues

Very comfortable bag and warm, though I’ve only taken it out down to about 40 so far. Definitely a couple of quality issues that have me second guessing my purchase though, given how expensive it was. First of all the drawstring on the hood/collar is very flimsy and doesn’t hold firm after you set it. This was called out on a couple of other reviews as well but I brushed it off because of the overwhelmingly positive response overall. Secondly, one of the seams is a little leaky as I tend to have a few feathers on me in the morning even just after the first use. Not sure where they’re coming from but again, annoying given the price. Third the hood is very shallow and doesn’t comfortable cradle my head even when tightened significantly (and I have a small head). This isn’t a huge deal as I can sink my chin under the collar to compensate but all of these things together really have me questioning why this bag is so popular.
