Instagram Photo Contest Winners!

After two weeks of amazing submissions, the results are in for our #NPS100 and #FeatheredFriendsGear Instagram photo contest. First Place: @mountphillip (Phillip Rodriguez).

Phillip’s exceptional picture of climbers on Matthes crest in Yosemite received the most votes from our staff panel of reviewers. It also captures an amazing sense of scale and perspective with the small climbers on the jagged ridgeline traverse. Well done Phillip!  We look forward to seeing where you take your down booties for their first trip!

First Runner up: @sam__davis (Sammy Davis)

Sam captured this amazing shot in the North Cascades National Park. His caption was “I’m a firm believer in setting big goals… and big goals were definitely set in this exact moment.” We look forward to following along on more of your adventures!

Second Runner Up: @stoneymtnphoto (Ben Stone)

Our two runners-up were tied! Ben got this fantastic shot at sunrise in Mount Rainier National Park. He said “The National Park Service turns 100 today (in case you haven’t heard). Thank you @mountrainiernps, it has been exceptional to enjoy an area that my grandmother once loved way back in the 50’s when Rainier had a rope tow! ” Thanks for sharing the picture and the memory!
