A little apparel knowledge.

A few questions that get asked about our down apparel.

Do your down jackets have temperature ratings?
We don’t give our apparel sleeping-bag-style temperature ratings. Your activity, layers, wind, and time spent standing still all affect comfort. Tell us how and where you’ll wear it, and we can help narrow the choices.
How should I choose my size?
Use the size chart on your chosen product; cuts differ across the range. Allow room for the layers you’ll wear underneath without compressing the down. If you’re between sizes, ask us about that specific garment.
Is down apparel waterproof?
Weather protection varies by model. A water-resistant finish or waterproof shell fabric does not make every finished garment truly waterproof. Check the product’s fabric details and plan a separate weather shell when needed.
What makes 900+ fill power down so good?
Fill power measures the "loft" or fluffiness of the down. The higher the number, the more air the down can trap, and the warmer it is for its weight. By using 900+ fill power, we can make apparel that is incredibly warm but packs down small and light.
How do I care for it?
Store your apparel dry and uncompressed. When it needs washing, follow the garment’s care label and our down washing guide. Thorough drying helps restore the loft; never dry clean.
