This jacket gets the job done!!!!
I love this jacket - living in SW Denver close to the front range, I waited for a sub-freezing day - overcast with snow and ice on the ground and preferably a nice little wind-chill breeze- just to write this review. The jacket does a phenomenal job of block wind and keeping me warm. The sizing is tricky this is in between a Helios XL and Helios L (perhaps closer to XL) but it's really great. Does pack down into a stuff sack but practically the same volume as a summer bag. I see this as truly being the jacket to take on a multi-day winter adventure when weather.gov starts ruminating about icy temps in mountainous areas and precipitation. Being new to the Denver area I have quickly learned that to impress your neighbors you wear flipflops and gym shorts if the temp hasn't quite hit zero yet. Well, if I'm deep in the Rockies and I get hit with a rogue storm guaranteed I could care less what the neighbors think and will most certainly "figure it out," stay warm, and get home safe and sound.
I recommend sizing up, great jacket!
5’ 9” and 165 lbs. Purchased the medium and large. Medium is to short (sits above the belt) and to tight in the arms. Keeping the large. Extremely warm!
