United States2 Ladies EOS vests in Medium with very different armholes
I ordered a Ladies vest in medium which fit perfectly and is a great product. I do wish it had a chest pocket but at least it has side ones. Then I ordered the exact same vest (to keep in my car) and the arm holes were 16” and tight under my arms with a blouse on. I measured the original vest and it had arm holes of 18”. So I returned the 16” one and have ordered it again to try once more. I’m 5’10” and 135 pounds and a medium usually is perfect.

My second EOS vest! I have it in black and couldn’t resist getting a second one when they went on sale! These vests are warm, cosy and easily transition from town to backcountry settings. I wear mine as a stand along warm layer or under other jackets to add some serious warmth.

Since I live in Connecticut and Feathered Friends is located in California I had to do a best guess with the sizing provided online for a vest I wanted. I was looking at similar vests at REI and LLbean but took a chance on FF. When the vest arrived it was a little big and a size down would have been a better choice for me. On the shipping statement that came with the vest the Feathered Friends email was available but not the phone number which was disappointing. After I looked the phone number up I called and spoke to a nice gentleman explaining that I would like to exchange the vest for a smaller size. Unfortunately, I was told there is no exchange. I would have to return the vest I purchased and then start a new purchase to buy the smaller size (the employee checked for me and said the new size I wanted was in stock). This is so disappointing because Feathered Friends has great products but unless you live close to one or are sure of your size there are no exchanges.

This is a nice vest in theory, warm and classy. But it is not very resilient. I have not even worn it outside yet -- just around the house when it is cold -- and the the lining already has 2 tiny holes with feathers leaking out. Sadly I am thinking about sending it back.

Used this vest backpacking in AK for 12 days. Great warm layer in the evenings or when the temperature dropped during the day. Packed down really small and light in my pack when not needed. My only complaint is for women’s sizing. I order XL because I have hips but with the long length still a little snug and then too big on top. With the draw string you could afford to have a little more room in the hips and then I could have gotten a L to fit me better up top.
