Youth bags
Great youth bags and the only true backpacking bags for youth i could find. They fit great and i like the cut since they are not too extreme of a mummy cut so that they are comfortable for my daughters as they grow and they are light enough and compress small enough that i can pack all their bags until they can carry their own.
Fantastic Bags
I bought a pair of these after waiting patiently for them to be in stock for close to a year. They were well worth the wait! Our maiden voyage out with these bags was to Dinky Lakes in the Sierra over Labor Day 2023. We saw near freezing temps, rain, hail, and blustery wind. These bags saved the day. My youngest (6 y/o at the time) sleeps cold (my oldest, 8y/o, hot). Both were warm and comfortable throughout the trip despite nighttime temps on the coldest night hovering at freezing (we awoke to frost everywhere, from inside the tents, to covering the nearby meadow). I bought both girls the 20 degree bags as our trips are almost always in the Sierra. On the coldest night my youngest slept in a T-shirt and long underwear and unzipped the bag partially about 3 am. I would say these are probably comfort rated at or around 20 degrees. The quality of these bags is on another level. I have some nice down equipment from other reputable companies, but these bags are something else. Everything from the bomber, frustration free (even for small kids) zippers, to the generous draft tube, to the durable out shells is top notch. I am short (5'7) as is my wife (5'2). I fully expect both of my daughters will be able to use these high quality bags for the rest of their lives. In a pinch, I could probably curl into one of these at my height, although I would be curled and really wedged in. I cannot recommend FF or these bags enough. They are an outstanding value, and are light enough for even the smallest of children to carry.
The perfect sleeping bag!
As a 5” petite women I finally found a back country down sleeping bag that fits! Adult sleeping bags are too big and I end up cold. When I lay down the hood fits perfectly. When I sit up though it doesn’t go around my head, that’s the only thing I wish to change. I’m about to take this sleeping bag on the PCT and will return with a full review!
Happy Camper
Great! Hand-fill is really nice, loft seems great. zipper pull protector a plus.
Wonderful, lightweight bag!
Switched to this sleeping bag about half way through the PCT to save weight. I’m 4’11” and can just get away with using this child-sized bag. My feet are definitely touching the foot box, but I like to think a snugger fit keeps me warmer (less surface area to warm up). So far I’ve used this bag for about 500 miles and it has been great! It is so light and comfortable. The fabric is so cozy, every night I am excited to crawl inside. It has kept me warm consistently so far.
