Going strong after 11 years

I've had this sleeping bag since I was 14 years old, I'm 25 now. It's still going strong! Inevitably, the down doesn't loft quite the same after 11 years, but other than that it shows no signs of wear. Still keeps me warm on sub-freezing nights. Coupled with a nice sleeping pad, this bag is very comfortable! Plenty of room to move around, and lining material is very soft. I have been backpacking many times with this bag, cross country road tripped and even used it as a comforter in hotels because it's so comfortable. Expensive, but you get what you pay for with this one. I'm sure it will last me at least another 11 years!

Love, Love, Love this sleeping bag

I love this sleeping bag from Feathered Friends. I'm using this as my every night comforter and loving it. I made a special duvey cover. It lofts really well and is extremely light but cosy. The size is also very comfortable for me. Haven't had the opportunity to use it outdoors but looking forward to it.

Top quality product - Runs a little small

The ground sheet measured perfectly to fit our 2 neoair thermarests together like it's one mattress! The Penguin perfectly wraps around the sides of the mattresses leaving no room for cold to seep in and the hoods incorporate snuggly into bag too. I'd make the hoods a little deeper though. We got the 20F bag and used it in the low 20s recently. It truly kept nice and comfortably warm. We slept really well. The Regular length was too short for me (I'm 5ft 11in) and my wife (5ft 9in) just barely had enough foot bed room. I sent the sheet and bag back and exchanged for the Long sz which has plenty of room to fully get under the covers for both of us and plenty of foot room. They had really friendly and quick customer service and this sleep system feels like and works like top of the line gear should. Proud to support this great company!

Delightfully fluffy.

Taking it out of the box it just kept expanding and expanding until the bag was a little higher than an 8” water bottle sitting next to it. At the edge of the full draft collar it was 10” thick. Looked like a life raft it was so huge. No skimping of down in this sleeping bag. There is no frame of reference in the website photos to give you any idea how large this bag really is. It’s massive. Completely unlike anything REI sells. Nice fit, finish and attention to detail. Quality wise it looks and feels like an equivalent of Western Mountaineering bags. Very easy to shake the bag to redistribute the down from the backside to the front side or vice versa. 10 degree version has a full draft collar. Dual draft tubes (one on each edge) so when its unzipped and laid flat you have a draft tube on each side. That’s actually a very nice feature it you use the ground tarp. Unzipped it completely covers the top of a queen mattress. In spite of the incredible loft it wasn’t hard to compress it back down. Size didn’t quite work out for me. The odd way I sleep I need 64” minimum at the hip level. Reluctantly returned it for a Condor.
