11 ounces of warmth, every adventure.
Premium 900+ fill power goose down. Buttery Pertex® Quantum shell. Hand-crafted in Seattle since 1972. The down jacket that disappears in your pack. Until you need it.
More than just light.
A down jacket only earns its keep when you can pack it, forget it, and trust it. The Eos delivers on all three with ratings most ultralights can only claim.
Pick your Eos.
Two iconic hooded jackets and two new vests. Same award-winning down. Same hand-crafted construction. Different jobs.
Built for the long haul.
The Eos isn't just a thinner version of someone else's down jacket. It's our highest fill power, our most refined construction, and our most uncompromising shell, all in a piece you'll forget you're carrying.
900+ Fill Power Goose Down
The higher the fill power, the more air the down traps and the warmer the jacket per ounce. 900+ is at the top end for apparel. You get more warmth in a lighter, more compressible package.
Pertex® Quantum Shell
The buttery Pertex Quantum shell is what separates the Eos from cheaper down sweaters. Lightweight, durable, with a DWR finish that sheds light precip. Premium fabric, premium feel.
Trackable, RDS-Certified Down
Every Eos comes with the story of its down: where it was sourced, certified to the Responsible Down Standard. Ethical, traceable, and good for the long haul.
Hand-Crafted in Seattle
Every Eos is hand-stitched in Seattle and Vancouver by people who use the gear themselves. Built to last decades, not seasons. We've been doing this since 1972.
Built for the trip, and the everyday.
Versatile enough for a five-day thru-hike. Light enough you'll wear it to dinner. The Eos is one of those rare pieces that earns its place in your closet and your pack.
Backpacking
Three-season warmth that packs to nothing.
Ski Touring
Layer it under a shell for ascent warmth.
Alpine Climbing
For those wild temperature swings in the alpine.
Everyday Travel
Stuffs into a tote. Wear it anywhere.
The down jacket they keep for years.
This jacket has been amazing for me; honestly, I'm thoroughly impressed by how it keeps me from getting cold, but also doesn't make me feel too hot.
All in all I am so happy with the quality and functionality of this jacket. I will be wearing it for years!
Packs down small to fit in any bag, and just as warm as anyone could want.
What you should know first.
The Eos doesn't have an explicit temperature rating like a sleeping bag. It's optimized for 3-season backpacking, shoulder-season hikes, mild winter days, or as a layering piece in colder conditions. Most owners wear it down to around 25°F as a stand-alone, and well below freezing as a mid-layer.
The Pertex® Quantum shell is water-resistant thanks to its Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish. It sheds light precipitation and snow. It is not fully waterproof. For sustained rain, layer a hardshell over it.
Both use the same 900+ fill power down and Pertex shell. The jacket has full sleeves and a hood. It's warmer overall and the right pick if it's your primary insulation layer. The vest is a lighter, more versatile layer designed to throw over a baselayer or under a shell when you need core warmth without overheating your arms.
Many of our customers own both.
The Eos has a true-to-size, athletic cut. There's enough room to layer a midweight fleece underneath, but it's not oversized. If you're between sizes or in doubt, size up.
