Our Approach
We don't chase gimmicks or fads. We simply want to build the best product that will last you, hopefully, decades. To that end, we search out some of the finest fabrics in the world, looking for the best combination of weight savings, weather protection, and longevity.
Introducing Organic Cotton
Our lineup of bed linens - duvet covers, sheet sets, pillowcases, pillow shams - are made from 100% organic cotton certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
Extraordinary Organic Cotton
Our lineup of organic cotton bed linens - duvet covers, sheets sets, pillowcases, and pillow shams - are made from 100% organic cotton certified to the Organic Cotton Standard (OCS).
Our founders searched for years to find an organic cotton fabric that meets Feathered Friends' high standards for comfort, quality, and durability. Woven from premium extra-long staple fibers and finished with a soft sateen weave, these 100% organic sheets and duvet covers are luxuriously soft and breathable.
For those looking to go as natural as possible, we offer an unbleached, undyed, minimally processed "Natural" color. With the same soft hand feel as our other organic cotton fabrics, the Natural color will contain small cotton seed particles that show up as very small black or brown spots in the fabric.
Our 100% organic cotton duvet covers and sheets are made with care in a Fair Trade Certified factory in India. Like Feathered Friends, the Indian mill we work with is a second-generation family run business started by a female entrepreneur. The extra long staple cotton fibers are woven into a 400 thread count sateen finish, resulting in a soft and luxurious feel.
Organic Cotton Colors
100% Cotton
The shells on our core lineup of down comforters and pillows are woven from 400 threadcount, single ply, evenly woven cambric cotton. This assures the tightest downproof weave and a soft handfeel, for superior performance year after year.

Lining Fabrics
Innovation doesn't stop with the exterior.
Our lining fabrics are sourced from environmentally responsible and forward-thinking partners like Bureo® and Pertex®. Each combines recycled or repurposed nylon yarns with advanced textile engineering to deliver lightweight comfort, lasting durability, and verified sustainability.
NetPlus® Nylon by Bureo®
We’re proud to offer NetPlus® from Bureo®, an innovative downproof fabric made from recycled fishing nets. NetPlus works with fishing communities to collect worn and torn nets, which are broken down and reformed into nylon pellets before being processed into high quality yarns. In addition to helping keep plastic pollution out of our oceans, NetPlus® reduces water use by up to 70% and overall energy consumption by up to 68% as compared to conventional nylon fabrics.
NetPlus® is used in our YF series of three-season sleeping bags, all winter & expedition sleeping bags, as well our Helios series and expedition apparel.
