    Women's Sleeping Bags

    Good nights start
    with the right bag.

    Women's bag sizing.

Our women's mummy cut is trimmer through the shoulders, with more room at the waist and hips. Shorter lengths help you find a fit without unnecessary space at your feet.

    Small · fits up to
    5′3″160 cm sleeper height
    Medium · fits up to
    5′9″175 cm sleeper height

Check the dimensions on your chosen product. Your toes and shoulders should have room without pressing tightly against the insulation.

    Plan for the
    coldest night.

Choose a rating below the low you expect. If you tend to sleep cold, give yourself a little more warmth. We reccomend at least 10ºF (~5ºC) below the expected low. Typically sleep cold? Consider going 20ºF (11ºC) lower than the expected low temperature.

    Different trips.
    Different priorities.

We offer four different fabric configurations across the Women's sleeping bag lineup.

UL: as light as it gets.

Prioritize lower pack weight with 950+ fill power goose down and a Pertex® Quantum Pro® shell. Explore the Egret UL and Petrel UL. For those looking to shave grams and get the best.

    Explore Egret UL

    YF: go often.

A more abrasion-resistant Pertex® YFuse® shell pairs with 900+ fill power down at a lower price than UL. Compare Egret and Petrel YF options for down type and total weight.

Winter: two options for the cold.

Winter Light models emphasize weight savings with lighter shell fabrics. ES models utilize Pertex® Shield® for added weather protection. Compare both constructions for your route and conditions.

    A few things
    worth knowing.

Fit, warmth, and the rest of your sleep system all work together. Here are answers to a few common questions.

What makes the women's fit different?
The Egret, Petrel, Murre, Arctic Finch, and Plover pair narrower shoulders with more space through the elbows and hips, plus added down at the chest and feet.
I'm a cold sleeper. Which rating should I choose?
Start with your lowest expected overnight temperature, then we recommend choosing a bag at least 10ºF (5.5ºC) below that. If you sleep cold, consider bumping that to 20ºF (11ºC) lower. Your sleeping pad, shelter, clothing, and personal comfort all affect the result. Tell us your trip plans and we can help narrow the options.
Does higher fill power mean a warmer bag?
Fill power describes down's loft relative to its weight. Warmth also depends on how much down is used and how the bag is built. We provide both the fill power (either 900+ or 950+ fill power) as well as the fill weight for every sleeping bag.
How much does my sleeping pad matter?
Your pad insulates you from the ground, which can cause a tremendous amount of heatloss on colder nights. A warmer bag cannot fully make up for an under-insulated pad, so choose a pad with an R-value suited to your conditions and how cold you sleep.
How should I store my down sleeping bag?
Let it dry thoroughly after a trip, then store it uncompressed in its cotton storage bag. Follow our washing and care instructions when it's time for a clean.
