Not quite as warm as expected on first use.
Overall this bag was very good, too good for just 4 stars. The fit was just as expected, it felt nice, it packed small. But the temps were barely down in the 40s and it seemed to take forever to warm up, and I never got over warm, which I was expecting. Some of this may be user error in not figuring out the best ways to fit it around my head and neck yet. Or not wearing the best combo of clothes. I also run extremely cold so others mileage may vary.
Excellent
It is exactly as described. Kept me warm, very roomy (I got the wide) and the zipper is done so you won't have to worry about snags. I love it.
unicorns do exist
Finally had a great night's sleep in the back country. I purchased a 20 degree bag and was snug as a bug! Love that the bag is wide enough for me to flip over, flamingo or spread my arms a bit without feeling restricted. The short was the perfect fit for my 5'2 frame, feet were never cold and did not feel restricted in the bag. When comparing prices and features of FF bags and big box stores, they really are not that much more expensive and I'd rather support an American small business. Customer service was top notch, they answered all of my questions to help me decide on which bag to get and even expedited my order so it would make it in time before my trip. All 8 ladies (of various sizes) on my trip test snugged my bag and were throughly impressed with the shape and materials. It just has the right amount of space for curves! The only thing I wished FF would offer on this bag is the option for a left handed zipper.
Great Egret!
Seems great so far, we’ll see how it holds up
High quality, warm, soft sleeping bag
I LOVE this bag so far. I just took it backpacking where it was 35 degrees overnight and I was toasty warm and comfy in the bag. The side zipper is smooth and the fabric is soft and quiet. I’m 5’3” and 120 lbs and bought a short. The bag was definitely long and wide enough for me, and I had plenty of room to lay on my side with my knees up. It also compresses well and is lightweight in my pack, which was surprising considering how lofty it feels when it’s laid out. I’m so happy with this purchase!
