Warm and compact in my pack, but narrower than I was expecting.
I was looking for a ultralight winter sleeping bag that would not take up a ton of room in my pack, and this hit that mark perfectly. I’ve used it down to 10°F and it kept me nice and warm with only a light base layer on. It was a bit narrower than I was expecting from a “wide” sleeping bag though. I’ll still use it, but something slightly wider would work better for me as a side sleeper. Also, I find the hood on the bag to be too short, unless I have the opening cinched up a lot, it really doesn’t do much to cover my head. Overall I’m really happy with the bag and think it was well worth the money, but there’s just those couple issues that make me doubt this is my “forever" sleeping bag.
Best bag ever
I brought this bag on a 2 week trek in Nepal’s Khumbu region, and couldn’t have been happier with it. Light, incredibly warm (only zipped it up the whole way after reaching 14k plus altitude in November), roomy (easily enough space for my water bottle). Plan to use this 20 degree rated bag for a very long time.
Ritz Carlton of Sleeping Bags
That pretty much describes how I felt getting home to my sleeping bag every evening on a recent camping trip. So delicious.
Swift UL 30
Amazing comfortable, even against bare skin. My first outing cowboy style I had set my alarm to purposely wake up in the middle of the night to observe the stars and meteor showers. I felt some condensation moisture on the outside of the bag. In the morning when I woke up there was no sign of moisture on or in the bag. My old bag would of been damp and I would have been airing it out before stuffing away. For my use I purchaseed a 30 over a 20 explaining my rating of 4 star V 5 star in warmth. The bag is much warmer than my old even weighing in a pound lighter. Highly recommend, My warmth rating is due to purchasing a 30 over a 20.
Great bag
I’ve only used this bag a couple times so far but the weight to warmth ratio is great and it fits well! I’m 5 11 198 athletic v build and I can’t wait to try it out it sub 50.
