The 900+ fill down is protected by Pertex® Shield® XT waterproof breathable fabric to keep you warm and dry in all conditions. It also features an arsenal of pockets to stow gear and hold food and water.

Well made, adequately over-stuffed with down, no air leak points except face, super warm. Outer zipper is a little finicky and has to be angled slightly to get it to go up but getting easier with continued use. Hood with lower front face covering flaps are good but the designed pull back on sides near eye area could be brought out front more in next design, for better facial warmth- I guess all mfg's are making them recessed like this now for some reason. Been using this for 2 mile walks in single digit wind chill temps in NY state to save on no more winter gym memberships. I don't shovel snow in it cuz I don't want to wear or stretch the seams> Want this to be my last parka ever needed. Very satisfied customer.

I bought this coat for my wife, who has Raynaud's syndrome (her body regulates temperature poorly, so she always feels cold). She was ecstatic. I bought the Rock & Ice Down Parka for my upcoming Pik Lenin expedition, thus, haven't tested it yet. Nevertheless, a first check of the parka showed an exceptional quality and comfort, I am eager to test it on a 7000er. It is a pity that you guys don't sell your gear in Europe, cheers

Exceptional quality. Great for mid winter in the Rocky mountain area at least. Have bought jackets from Feathered Freinds for decades. This is the first parka. The coldest I've been outside with these jackets has been -27 with about a 60mph wind and stayed warm as toast.
