We created the Flicker to achieve maximum comfort and versatility without compromising on weight. Unzipped, it functions as a large quilt on warmer nights and is wide enough to cover two adults in a pinch. The footbox can be cinched tight and partially zipped for greater efficiency on cooler nights. At the bottom end of the temperature rating, the Flicker functions as a full center-zip mummy sleeping bag. With 950+ fill power down and ultralight Pertex® Endurance® fabric, the Flicker series is ideally suited for those chilly summer nights in the alpine or on a thru-hike.
Available in 20 Degree, 30 Degree, and 40 Degree options.

I've used a 20 Flicker for the last 3 years of alpine guiding around the US for nearly 200 nights. I've slept comfortably on Mt. Rainier, Baker, Shuksan, for a bivy on Peak 11,300 in AK, and dozens of nights throughout other locations in the Cascades and high country of Colorado. I've been warm down to the 20s and below with layering. Unzipping it keeps it useful even when the night temperatures rise to 40s-50s in mid-summer. The cut is just right for me. The shell fabric is durable and rarely leaks a feather. I love it.

This bag is great for warm-weather camping and makes a nice mini-comforter on the bed. I still want my Swallow when the temperature drop but this covers the nights when the Swallow is overkill.

This is an update from previously. I recently field-tested the bag on the Overland Track in Tasmania. It got to 2 degrees C (so not quite at the lowest level yet). Great bag, the same pro's as before. I love the quilt function on warmer nights and having my feet 'free' instead of trapped all night. Cons 1: It is a slightly narrow fit and I would consider myself average-sized. 2: The zip tends to bite into the liner. No damage but on a cold night it took some effort to unstick. The best solution is to hold the inside drawstring and pull out. this keeps the fabric away from the teeth.
