30年前に日本のアウトドアショップで2回購入 今回は個人輸入での購入。以前のモデルよりフィットはしてる、 暖かさは冬になったて着てみないと分からない。 信頼してるブランドだから大丈夫だと思う。

The best jacket I own

Super lightweight, extremely packable and surprisingly durable. Everything a backpacker could ask for.

EOS Midlayer and Paramo

It is June at the time of this review. I have yet to wear the EOS in truly cold weather. On a couple of 40*F mornings, with wind blowing off lake superior, it kept me very warm. I typically wear a medium and this fit true to size. It also layers under my Paramo wind-shell, and fits over my fleece perfectly. It is not restrictive at all when layered, and allows a full range of motion for climbing. It does pull up slightly when lifting my arms, but tightening the bottom pull cords fixed that.

Great jacket

After reading the reviews i was concerned an XL may be too snug- 511 198 v build-but after speaking with a rep at FF went for it, as I’m an XL in most all other brands. It fits perfectly-tailored-but won’t leave much room for a thicker base layer. Honestly found it too warm unzipped with activity in mid 50’s but overall exactly what I was looking for and excellent craftsmanship overall.

Comfortable, quality jacket

This is a comfortable jacket to wear, looks good, and has very high fill down. All in all, a quality jacket. I’ve got other FF jackets: a Volant, a Helios vest (about 20 years old and still going strong), and a Hyperion. What they all have in common is wonderful loft and a good pack size. The fit of the Eos is the odd one out to me. Even though all the jackets are size large and the Eos is the lightest weight of the four, it actually is the loosest, boxiest fit. I loose a bit of warmth from the loose fit. If they made the fit a bit more athletic it would be a 5* jacket for me. Other possible improvements would be a neater hood draw cord, and just a little more down fill (e.g. 0.5oz), with the slight weight penalty offset with a lighter denier inner fabric. That would then be the perfect lightweight down puffy!
