The classic Helios Hooded Jacket is a mainstay for cold conditions around the world. As our warmest sewn-through jacket, the Helios is exceptionally light and packable thanks to the ethically-sourced 900+ fill power goose down.
Our newest iteration of the Helios Hooded Jacket is our most environmentally conscious to date. The durable water repellent (DWR) finish on our Helios jackets and vests is made without perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs/PFAS). The exterior Pertex® Quantum Pro® is made with 60% renewable, plant-based nylon produced from the non-food crop castor oil plant. Meanwhile, the interior lining fabric is made from NetPlus®- post-consumer fishing nets that have been recycled into nylon threads.

So far great. Was 11F on this am's hike, warm & was unzipping on the uphills. It is warmer than my Rab Neutrino Pro and my guess is more compact for field use. Kept me warm sitting & talking at Denver zoo lights on a date. It brings a smile to my face how light and puffy it is when I put it on. Hood I haven't tightened but with a hat on has kept me more than toasty.

Helios hooded jacket is perfect for grabbing and wearing over a light baselayer but I find the sizing is tight for layering on my frame: me: 63, 182 lbs. 43 chest size broad-shouldered, long arms (length fine on arms) and picture on website does justice- I would not be able to wear as an outer layer on top of a shell - which is one thing I was going for with a jacket like this- unless I sized up.
