The Wide version of our best-selling Flicker provides a bit more shoulder and body space when it’s zipped up, and is ideal for those who plan on using it as a two-person quilt. Unzipped, the Flicker acts as a large quilt on warmer nights that is wide enough to cover two adults. On cooler nights the footbox can be cinched tight and partially zipped for greater efficiency. At the bottom end of the temperature rating, the Flicker functions as a full center-zip mummy sleeping bag.

Great Product as Usual
I was on top of an 11,500 ft mountain with 20mph winds and 32 degree night (I know as there was a very thin layer of ice on my bear cannister, but nothing else had ice on it). 20 degree quilt was more than adequate and almost too warm around the chest area and just right on the feet. Quality is superb and I am very glad I bought this quilt. I purchased the extra wide and long version as I toss and turn a lot when I sleep. Would definitely buy again. this is my 2nd feathered friends product and both are fantastic.
Husband Loves It!
The sleeping bag is terrific. My husband loves it! Puts the old one to shame. I should have bought it sooner.
Fantastic Bag
I took the bag out to Colorado in June and camped at 8,000 ft and 40 degree temps overnight. The thoughtful design features allowed me to vent the bag or tighten it up depending on the conditions. The versatility and the soft materials make for a fantastic sleeping experience. I'm so excited to have more adventures with this bag!
Fantastic Fabrics - Don’t Hesitate to get the YF over the UL
This is my second Flicker. I have a UL 20 Long, and now a YF Wide 20. If you’re going for the warmest and lightest, the UL might be worth it, but the YF is actually 90% as good. The inner taffeta is actually nicer on the skin being 20D versus 15D, and the YF exterior fabric is more durable at 20D then the 10D UL. Less noisy, too. Now a note on sizing. Length wise, just use your height as a guide - there’s no need to size up. At 5’11”, the regular, even with the foot box cinched, still easy pulls up and over my shoulders. The long was just overkill. Width wise, definitely go wide if you think you’ll need it. This bag is not designed to be used as a center-zip bag except in the coldest of temperatures, because it’s tight when fully zipped. It’s really sized to be used like a quilt. I honestly didn’t even notice a difference when comparing the two. Maybe a few inches extra. Feathered Friends makes fantastic products. I’ve spent thousands of dollars at this store by now. Don’t hesitate to get a Flicker - it’s the best built quilt on the market, and the YF is killer value and by some metrics better than the UL.
