    Which temperature rating should I choose?

    Everybody sleeps very differently. We typically recommend choosing a sleeping bag rated 10ºF below the lowest temperature you expect to encounter.If you typically sleep colder, we recommend going even lower, perhaps closer to 20ºF colder than expected temperatures.

    How should a sleeping bag fit?

    Choose enough room to settle into your usual sleeping position without pressing against the hood or footbox. Check the measurements on the individual product page; shape matters as much as length.

    Does higher fill power mean a warmer bag?

    Fill power describes loft for a given weight of down. It is not a temperature rating. Compare the bag’s temperature rating first, then its weight, dimensions, and materials.

    Can two bags zip together?

    Many models can pair, but zipper direction and construction matter. Check the two product listings or ask us to confirm the pairing before ordering.

    How do I care for my bag between trips?

    Never store your down bag in its small compression stuff sack! Long-term compression can damage the down clusters and reduce loft. Every Feathered Friends bag includes a large, breathable cotton storage sack. Keep it in a dry, cool place where it can stay uncompressed.
