The Feathered Friends women’s bags share a few things in common: a bit less volume at the shoulders, a wider cut through the chest and elbows and increased overall fill. The result is a bag designed from the ground up to fit the female form and address lower sleeping temperatures. The Arctic Finch is a go-to bag for cold weather activities from winter mountaineering in the Cascades to Himalayan ascents and snow camping.
For 2024, we've made the Arctic Finch even better by incorporating a panel on the top of Pertex® Shield Air, which allows more moisture to vent while maintaining warmth.

This is my second sleeping bag from Feathered Friends, and they’ve knocked it out of the park again. I run cold even in milder temps, I’m 6’ tall (female) and wanted a women’s bag for a thru-hike I’m planning in the Andes next year. I reached out to their team, and they were awesome—customized the Arctic Finch -10 to fit my height and shipped it all the way to Australia. I took it for a test run in the high country end of winter/early spring and ended up using it like a blanket because it was that warm. Super toasty, even with it open. I’m excited to see how it holds up in winter conditions next year, but I already know it’s going to be solid. If you’re taller or need something specific, definitely email them. They’re really helpful, and the quality speaks for itself.
