The Photon Wire carabiner from CAMP was designed to be the lightest weight full-size carabiner in the world. New redesigned interface between the gate and nose helps to protect the wire gate from damage and accidental opening, and an updated body design increases strength and rigidity without increasing weight. Well-suited for difficult alpine routes and colder weather climbing while wearing gloves. Wiregate carabiners are ideally suited for the rope end of your slings that attach you to your protection while lead climbing, and are also commonly used to rack gear on your harness or gear slings. For many climbers, wiregate carabiners are often the most numerous style of carabiner on their rack.
