Warm, roomy bag. Solid bag.

I just can't deal with a mummy bag. I am a side sleeper and a mummy is just an issue for me. Kinda clastraphobic too (I seriously tried to get spell check to find that) . In retrospect, I might have bought the Condor. 10 degrees means 10 degrees. This thing is warm. OK we all know how bags are rated. I'm not interested in the "staying alive" rating. I am interested in the comfort rating. Might not use this below 30 or so. Its warm. I just like a wide margin of error. I'd probably go 10 degrees If I had their wonderful booties and my seriously heavy wool underwear. I have an REI bag that is rated to 20. That has to be the actual drop deal die in your sleep rating :). I'd not take it past 40 degrees on a good day. FF rates their bags pretty accurately. I'm cold natured, so won't take this to 10 degrees. 30 I have some confidence in. Aside, this thing is rock solid in construction. Individual result vary. This is a great bag. If you are going to 10 you need a dog to snuggle with. Or three. If you are as old as I am ... you understand the reference :)

Great bag

Used on one 8 day backpack trip so far. Light, tons of loft. I have the +20. Temps dropped below freezing and stayed plenty warm. Compressed down plenty small for backpacking.

Best bag - would recommend

Slept in 25 degree weather in my 30 degree bag and it was completely fine. It's soft to the touch unlike some other sleeping bags making for a pleasant experience overall. Rolls up small enough for backpacking. So nice to have the extra room compared to a full mummy bag.
